With a decade of experience as a professional photographer, I’m eager to share with you things you need to know that it’s important when looking for your ideal photographer. Don’t pay the price of wishing you invested right the first time. Not having an experienced professional can really cost you money in addition to waiting money. You might be stuck on the dollar amount, but understand this is an investment in you! The benefit of knowing what you are looking for does help. Having clarity in the relationship and expectations in the photographer realm. When it comes to all things you need to know about photography and your photographer we pretty much have that area covered. We may be your perfect match.
Now let’s talk about the things you need for your photo session to be successful.
Timing is essential for a successful photo shoot. It’s possible that if you wait until the last minute, I’ll only be available on that one day while you’re at an important business meeting. Booking early means I’ll have more time to work with you, and you won’t have to juggle your calendar to fit it in. A win-win situation for the both of us.
Make sure to put your outfit together a few days before your session once you’ve decided what you want to wear. So you’re not hurrying at the last minute, get things laundered, ironed, and anything else that’s needed. This is crucial especially if you’re going for a themed photo session.
It’s recommended taking a test run of both your hair and makeup if you’re having them done professionally for your shoot. You won’t have to worry about how your hair or face will look on the day of your photoshoot if both come out the way you want.
It’s great to share your photo ideas with me so we can have the same vibe for your session. Having a good relationship with your photographer is crucial to a successful photo shoot. Ultimately, both you and the photographer will benefit from good communication and this will lead to a successful photoshoot.
There are a lot of unforeseen events that could happen in a photo session. Rain can hamper a shoot because the weather is unpredictable. Check the weather the night before your photoshoot to make sure everything is in order. Contact me and let’s make a plan for what to do during unexpected days like this.
After your photo shoot, you’ll be drained and excited at the same time. Asking what’s the next step would be the first concern following the shoot if everything went smoothly. Know about the after-shoot procedure by communicating with me. Make sure you’re aware of what to expect so that you won’t be caught off guard later.
Bonus tip!
Take care of your physique. This is a good rule to follow in life, but it’s especially important when it comes to having a photo session. Before your session, make sure you eat something, drink enough water, and have a decent night’s rest. You’ll be glad you did! Because photo sessions are fun but often exhausting, you’ll want to make sure you’re relaxed and happy during them! Drinking water, contrary to popular opinion, has a limited effect on the appearance of your skin. It’s not a good idea to be miserable during your photo shoot. Keep your mind and body comfortable during your session!
